“The year 2020 was undoubtedly a year to remember in the history of Nigeria. The year witnessed many downs, such as the outbreak of corona virus disease (COVID-19) and the economic paralysis that followed as a result of the inevitable lockdown; the ENDSARS protests and the wanton destruction that followed in the hands of the protests’ hijackers; the country’s worsening security situation and other pathetic occurrences of the year. May the wounds of the year gone by be healed in the new year. May we be compensated with peace and prosperity in the new year”, the statement concludes.
