SCAM: Don’t Transact With These Numbers -Firstbank Warns Customers

Firstbank of Nigeria Limited, Nigeria’s premier and leading financial inclusion service provider has warned her numerous customers to be wary of transacting any banking business with some identified numbers of scammers to avoid being duped.

Firstbank released the identified numbers on her facebook page and warned customers not to transact any business nor chat with them as the numbers were not affiliated with the bank.

In a concise message the bank stated, “Beware! Do not chat with these numbers, these numbers are not affiliated with first bank.”

The bank further cautioned Nigerians that the bank will never redirect anyone to a WhatsApp platform to treat complaints.

“Please note, Do not disclose your pins, passwords, OTPs, and other personal banking details to anyone as FirstBank will never ask for these details,” the bank warned.

Meanwhile some customers also reacted on the page and gave first bank accolades, one Lynx Shawarma said; “you guys should create a live chat with Firstbank customer in the app.. This will reduce fraud and scams” and firstbank acknowledge his feedback, while one Sulaiman Rabiu Mani also comment that “A bank like no other first bank”

This is indeed a very commendable efforts from first bank Nigeria limited as they sensitize their customers on all social media platforms in other not to be a victim of fraudsters.

No doubt the fraudsters are everywhere online that use gimmick to dupe people in this country, thou this is not the first time firstbank will sensitise their customers on issue like this.
