The World Health Organization (WHO) has said it is concerned the war in Ukraine could worsen the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to the UN health body, it is trying to do more to “limit the spread of infectious diseases as there’s significant risk there will be more severe disease and death due to low vaccination rates in Ukraine, as well as among the more than 2 million who’ve fled the country to surrounding areas — regions also with low vaccination rates.”
