The All Progressives Congress (APC) Senate Caucus has assured the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of their support for his presidential ambition.
Tinubu was in the National Assembly to consult and seek the support of the lawmakers, who are members of the ruling party, for his aspiration to emerge the presidential candidate of the Party and president of the country in 2023.
Tinubu called on the APC Senate Caucus to support him to become the candidate of the party for the 2023 presidential election.
The former Lagos Governor said he came to the Senate to seek the counsel, partnership and support of the APC Senators in actualising his presidential ambition come 2023.

He said: “I seek your advice and counsel as stakeholders in this democratic journey.
“I seek your partnership in my quest to become the Presidential Candidate of our party and to win the general elections in February 2023 for all APC candidates.
“This is not about gaining power. It is about securing good government for the nation.
“Together, the executive and legislative branches of this democratic tree must strive to cultivate and bring forth good fruit for the welfare of the people.”
In his response, Lawan said: “Your Excellency, once again, all of us wish you well, wish you the best of luck, wish you success in this and in the affair of fighting for APC, to continue to be the ruling party in Nigeria, and justifiably so, Your Excellency, we are with you.”
