Max Air Officials Flee As Angry Passengers ‘Drag’ Airline At Abuja Airport
Some passengers of Max Air went berserk at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Wednesday.
The incident, which happened at the domestic wing of the airport caused commotion at the terminal as the passengers accused the airline of delaying their flights for hours without providing reasons.
Many of the passengers invaded the counter of the airline, destroying facilities even as their officials fled for fear of being mobbed.
It was learnt that the passengers who booked the airline’s flight to Lagos became furious after the airline announced that the morning flight had been rescheduled.
“They continued to announce the rescheduling of the flight since morning. I’ve been here since 9:30 a.m and this is 6:30 pm, nobody is telling us anything,” one of the passengers said.
There was no official reaction from the airline last night.
Acting spokesperson for FAAN, Mrs. Faithful Hope-Ivbaze, said she was not aware of the development.
A, source, however told our correspondent that the cancellation of the flight must have been caused by technical issues with the airline’s planes.
