Aisha Buhari’s Iftar Dinner :Watch how Tinubu was fast-tracked because of his humility
Tinubu’s act of humility has earned him a place in front of the queue at First Lady,Aisha Buhari’s Iftar dinner.
CityNews Nigeria gathered that as the dinner progressed, Tinubu joined the back of the queue but other people gave way for him and urged him to go to the front.
CityNews Nigeria recall that the First Lady had invited presidential aspirants to Ramadan Iftar dinner at the State House Conference Centre.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife in an invitation letter instructed the invitees not to come along with their mobile devices, except for their invitation cards which would serve as their entry pass.
The directive, however, does not apply to the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, and governors and ministers who will be at the meeting.
During the meeting on Saturday, the First Lady urged all aspirants to eschew politics of bitterness and avoid violence.
Mrs. Buhari also asked the presidential aspirants to choose women as their running mates ahead of the 2023 general elections.
She said: “In fact, it is high time women are adopted as running mates at all levels considering their voting strength and active involvement in political processes.
“As we approach the 2023 election with greater hope, I am confident that Nigeria will continue to grow from strength to strength on the pedestal of our democratic tenets.”
