Ja Morant just scored the filthiest dunk in NBA Playoffs history

Ever since he came into the league, it was evident that Ja Morant was a special talent with a wide repertior to show the entire world. His dunks have to be amongst the most beautiful to watch across the entire NBA timeline but he needed one that we could all remember forever. All that changed today with the Memphis Grizzlies vs the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Ever since he came into the league, it was evident that Ja Morant was a special talent with a wide repertior to show the entire world. His dunks have to be amongst the most beautiful to watch aacross the entire NBA timeline but he needed one that we could all remember forever. All that changed today with the Memphis Grizzlies vs the Minnesota Timberwolves.

It has been a gruesome series between two teams that have done everything in their power to get past their adversary. The Wolves also have a master dunker in Anthony Edwards, but Ja did one dirty on Malik Beasley right as the third quarter ended. His approach, his pacing, his field dominance and the plasticity made this a truly memorable dunk.

Ja Morant’s dunk is amongst the best in Playoff history.

If not the best, this Ja Morant dunk has to be one of the best in Playoff history. Off the top of our head, we can think of the Kevin Johnson dunk on Hakeem Olajuwon, the filthy one Kobe Bryant did on Steve Nash. Or also the one John Starks did on Jordan, Pippen and Grant.

More recently, Kawhi Leonard got another nasty dunk on the Utah Jazz defense but none of them was as spectacular as what Ja Morant just pulled off. And it’s not just the dunk, the man scored the buzzer beater for the win and produced one of the most complete performances of his career. Short-lived, but Morant‘s career just took a giant step to an eve greater elite level.

Can Ja Morant finally perform at a dunk contest?

Ja Morant wasn’t part of thisyear’s All-Star Dunk Contest, one of the worst in history for not having the best dunkers in the game right now. We can’t wait for th day in which Ja Morant agrees to perform and compete against a recovered Zion Williamson for the price.

We would also love to get Anthony Edwards in the mix and we could get us the best slam dunk contest of all-time. We can only cross our fingers for that to happen in the future. Make no mistake, all of these three players will someday perform in this All-Star contest. Let’s just hope they do it together.
