2023 Presidency: Joe Igbokwe speaks on Tinubu’s ‘sickness’
The Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Drainage and Water Resources, Joe Igbokwe, on Tuesday said Bola Tinubu’s present political consultations across the country, shows that the 2023 presidential aspirant is fit.
CityNews Nigeria reports that Igbokwe, a former spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos state, asked people to ignore those saying Tinubu, the party’s National Leader, is sick.
“They said he is sick, but he is transversing the political landscape, meeting the critical stakeholders across Nigeria, while others are hiding, waiting for non-existing endorsement,” Igbokwe wrote on his known Facebook page.
Tinubu is contesting against more than 10 others for the APC presidential ticket.
Other contestants include his longtime political ally, vice president Yemi Osinbajo; minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; senate president, Ahmed Lawan; and President of Africa Development Bank, Akinwumi Adeshina.
The APC special presidential convention is scheduled to hold from Monday, May 30, to Wednesday, June 1.
