Breaking: Unknown Gunmen Kidnap Methodist Church Prelate, Others

Gunmen have kidnapped the Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence, Samuel Kanu.

He was abducted on Sunday along the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway in the Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia.

It was gathered that he was abducted by two Methodist Bishop of Owerri Rt. Rev. Dennis Mark and the Prelate’s Chaplain.

They were kidnapped in the afternoon on their way from a programme in the council area.
Abia Police spokesman SP Geoffrey Ogbonna confirmed the incident.

He said: “It’s quite unfortunate. Efforts are on top gear toward his rescue as well as other priests with him.

“We solicit credible information from the public toward their rescue, please. ”
