2023 Presidency: Why Osinbajo May Step Down For Tinubu – Shehu Sani Reveals
Former Kaduna lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has claimed that Presidential aspirant and Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo may step down for his former principal, Bola Tinubu.
CityNews Nigeria reports that Osinbajo and Tinubu alongside others will on June 6 slug it out to become the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Tinubu, the APC National Leader was screened on Monday by the presidential screening committee headed by former APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie Oyegun.
While the vice president will have his turn today (Tuesday) before the committee barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Reacting to the chain of events recently in Nigeria’s political space, Sani said Osinbajo may withdraw from the presidential race and support Tinubu’s ambition.
The former governorship aspirant made this known in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Monday.
He wrote: “Aminu Tambuwal Stepped down for Atiku Abubakar. Pat Utomi stepped down for Peter Obi. Prof. may step down for Jag.”
