2023: Atiku’s Meeting With PDP Governors…Tambuwal Reveals Details

The Governor of Sokoto State and Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum, Aminu Tambuwal has revealed details of Atiku Abubakar’s meeting with the party governors on Wednesday evening.

According to Tambuwal, the emergency meeting was held to strategise on securing victory for PDP in the 2023 general elections.

Tambuwal while addressing newsmen after the meeting said it was more of a consultative meeting.

The Sokoto State along with the former vice president came to thank the party governors for their roles at the convention.

Tambuwal said, “We talked about cooperation and collaboration in prosecuting a very successful electioneering campaign that will result in victories for the PDP at various elections from the state House of Assembly, national election, governorship and the presidential election come February 2023.

“It is more of a consultative meeting on matters concerning the way forward.”

Tambuwal added that the presidential aspirant of the APC is still consulting on his choice of a Vice President.

he said, “it’s part of the consultation, it’s ongoing and governors are also being consulted on that.”

At the meeting was the PDP National Chairman, Sen. Iyorchia Ayu; governors Nyesom Wike of Rivers, Udom Emmanuel of Akwa-Ibom, Samuel Ortom of Benue, Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi and Seyi Makinde of Oyo States.
