Breaking: Panic In Abuja As Three Military Personnel Slump At Eagles Square During Democracy Day Parade
There was confusion today at the Eagles Square after three Nigerian military personnel reportedly slumped while participating in the Democracy Day Parade.
The PUNCH reported that some security men and medical personnel immediately responded to the situation and came with stretchers to carry away the collapsed operatives to a medical shed on the left side of the State Box where President Muhammadu Buhari was seated.
Aside from the fainting of the personnel, this online medium understands no casualties were recorded at the democracy day celebration.
In attendance at the annual event were former President Goodluck Jonathan, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Presiding Officers of the National Assembly, Service Chiefs, Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Youth Corps Members and former Cabinet Member under President Yar’Adua, Babagana Kingibe.
Senate President Ahmad Lawan; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; the Chief Justice of the Federation, Ibrahim Tanko, and the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Adamu also marked their presence at the event.
