Breaking: Cloudflare suffers 2nd outage in a week, reacts via Twitter
Cloudflare suffered another outage on Tuesday when several popular platforms like Discord, DoorDash, NordVPN, Zerodha, Upstox and others went down for users globally, including in India.
Cloudflare NET said on Tuesday it fixed a “widespread” outage earlier in the day that knocked hundreds of websites offline.
“This incident has been resolved“, Cloudflare said on its Twitter account.
The internet infrastructure firm resolved the issue less than 2 hours after users had trouble accessing a number of sites, including messaging platform Discord, Shopify SHOP +3.82% , (ticker: SHOP) and Coinbase COIN +0.33% , (COIN) according to DownDetector, a crowdsourced web monitoring tool that tracks outages.
The company, which faced a similar outage in some parts of the world last week, didn’t disclose what caused the issue. Earlier today John Graham-Cumming, the firm’s chief technology officer, said on a Hacker News thread that outage didn’t spread worldwide, but affected “a lot of places.”
Users had also indicated that they were struggling to use Coinbase, Shopify, and League of Legends, according to DownDetector, a crowdsourced web monitoring tool that tracks outages.
