Comedienne Princess as reacted as courts sends Baba Ijesha to 16 Years in jail.
It is all gratitude and joy for comedienne, Princess as her colleague, Baba Ijesha bag 16years imprisonment.
This online medium reported earlier that after over one year of his arrest and prosecution, an Ikeja Special Offences Court had convicted the embattled Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James, alias Baba Ijesha, of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old minor.
Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, in a two-hour judgement on Thursday, convicted Baba Ijesha of indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault and attempted sexual assault.
Taiwo, however, discharged and acquitted him of counts one and count six, which were: sexual assault by penetration and attempted sexual assault by penetration.
He was thereby sentenced to 16 years imprisonment.
Hours after the news broke out, Princess took to Instagram to share a video of her worshipping God.
She captioned the grateful video with, “God is not man”.
CityNews recalls there was mass outrage when comedian cum actress, Princess, accused Baba Ijesha in 2021 of defiling her 14-year-old ward.
In a video that was made available online, the actress accused Baba Ijesha of molesting her daughter without consent.
Nollywood stars such as Iyabo Ojo and Yomi Fabiyi were at loggerheads over the issue as the former supported Princess’ side of the story. At the same time, the latter took a stand for his colleague. The allegations led to a messy fight between them.
