How Peter Obi Sponsored #ENDSARS Protests – Lai Mohammed Reveals
Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has accused the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi of sponsoring the ENDSARS protest on 20 October 2020.
The Editor Nigeria reports that Lai Mohammed alleged that events taking place in the country, especially on social media have given a clue to who the ENDSARS promoter was.
Lai Mohammed stated that since the ENDSARS protest in October, investigations have been going on to determine who was the brain behind the protest, stating that events, where people that supported and were involved in the ENDSARS protest are the ones campaigning for Peter Obi presidency, show a lot about his involvement.
The Minister of Information alleged that “Recent development has now unveiled the brain behind ENDSARS Protest in Nigeria which led to the destruction of Government properties and security agencies losing their lives.
“Over the years, investigation has been going on in order to unveil those behind this wicked act just to tarnish the good image of President Muhammadu Buhari and his good works.
“Mostly all the people and the misguided youths who championed the ENDSARS Protest are all campaigning for Peter Obi for President. All of them, no exception. That will go a long way in telling you that Peter Obi knows much about the ENDSARS Protest and those behind that ugly act must be brought to book to face disciplinary actions.
On October 20, 2020, Nigerian youths took to the street, throughout the whole country to protest police brutality and bad governance. This protest was code-named ENDSARS protest.
The Nigerian government, unfortunately, invited the Nigeria Army personnel, who according to the Lagos State Judicial Panel Committee shot at the peaceful young protesters, many were killed, while others sustained bullet injuries.
Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State is seen by the same youths among all the presidential candidates as the person that can bring good leadership which the country and the youths yearn for.
Peter Obi’s campaign mantra of shifting the country from consumption to production resonates well with the youths, who make up over 60% of Nigeria’s population and over 70% of the voting population.
