CityNews reports that in the video shared online, Ayade who was a special guest of honour in the church service in Calabar made a donation of N25 million on behalf of the state government, his family and the judiciary.
In his response, the Bishop requested to express himself stating that Ayade was his brother from Northern Cross River.
He expressed appreciation to the governor and urged him to use the money to pay workers’ salaries which was a surprise to the congregation and everyone in the church.
He said: “I want to talk. The governor is my brother, we are both from Cross River North. I want to appreciate the governor and tell him to package whatever he has for me, add to it and use it to pay the salaries of the workers.”
While addressing the press on Tuesday, at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar, Ben Ayade expressed appreciation to God for the opportunity to showcase what he had to offer and the reaction he had received from various people regarding his speech at the primary.
Ayade said there was a clear indication that everyone knew he had something to offer the country but it was not his time and also happy that Bola Tinubu clinched the party’s ticket.
The governor added that he would ensure a hundred per cent vote is delivered to Tinubu during the 2023 election.
