Shehu Sani reacts as bandits kidnap four Catholic Rev sisters in Imo

A former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani has reacted to the kidnap of four Catholic Reverend sisters in Imo State by gunmen.

Sami described the abduction of the Catholic nuns as unfortunate and tragic.

In a tweet, the former lawmaker urged Nigerians to pray for the Reverend sisters.

DAILY POST had reported that the armed men suspected to be bandits abducted the nuns while on their way to mass on Sunday morning, along the Okigwe-Enugu expressway, Imo State.

The victims include Johannes Nwodo, Christabel Echemazu, Liberata Mbamelu and Benita Agu.

Their abduction was confirmed by the Secretary-General of the Sisters Of Jesus The Saviour, Sister Zita Ihedoro.

Condemning the development, Sani tweeted: “The abductions of Four Catholic nuns in Imo State by armed gunmen is unfortunate and tragic. Let’s keep these Reverend sisters in our prayers.”
