1. Vice-President Kamala Harris of the United States of America has expressed hope that next year’s general election will be peaceful and reflective of the will of the people. She spoke at the White House after a meeting with her Nigerian counterpart, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
2. Bandits have invaded a low cost project quarters at Dutsen Reme, Bakori LGA of Katsina State and abducted four people. The development, according to the locals, happened at about 10:00 pm on Friday night while it was raining.
3. Munkaila Ahmadu, the man who killed his parents in Jigawa State, has told the police that he committed the crime as a form of Jihad. Speaking on Saturday, spokesman of the police in Jigawa State, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, said the suspect who killed her parents with a wooden pestle, has admitted to the crime and did not show any remorse.
4. The Labour Party, LP, has dismissed news making the rounds that its presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, was abroad to solicit foreign funding for his campaigns. National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, Abayomi Oluwafemi, gave this clarification in an interview on Saturday.

8. The All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Abia State, has announced the indefinite suspension of one of its governorship aspirants, Sir Chikwe Udensi. Udensi was suspended for alleged anti-party activities, according to a statement by the State Working Committee.
9. The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, on Saturday, elected Comrade Umar Faruk Lawal, from Bayero University, Kano, as its new president. Lawal takes over from Sunday Asefon, whose tenure has come to an end. However, the election was not without controversies, leading to the emergence of another faction.
10. The Super Falcons suffered a 4-0 defeat to World champions, the USA in a friendly match played at the Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas, on Saturday. The game was the first for the Falcons since they finished fourth at the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco in July.
