This is coming after the secret police confirmed the arrest of the bandit negotiator.
According to DSS, Mamu was arrested based on requests from Nigeria’s Military, Law Enforcement, and Intelligence Community to their foreign partners in Cairo, Egypt.
A witness who spoke with Daily Trust disclosed that operatives of DSS invaded Mamu’s residence in about 20 vehicles.
The witness claimed that DSS carted away documents, phones and laptops during the invasion.
He further stated that people in Mamu’s house were asked to sign a document, adding that they were not given the chance to read it before the document was taken back.
The witness said, “They ransacked the house and carted away documents, phones and laptops. Those in the house were ordered to sign a document which they did not read before the officers took it back.”
It was stated that the DSS operatives after raiding Mamu’s house, also went to his office in Kaduna.
Mamu in the past few months had been receiving freed victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack in his office before reuniting with their families.
The bandit negotiator is expected to answer critical questions on ongoing investigations relating to some security matters in parts of the country.
