The National Association of Nigerian Students NANS have given the Federal Government 24 Hours Ultimatum to solve the lingering impasse between the Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU and the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The students body made this known today at a protest against the 9-months closure of Nigerian Universities.
NANS today blocked the Lagos-Ibadan expressway today thereby causing human and vehicular traffic standstill.
Speaking with Pressmen at the blockade area, the Global Deputy Senate President of NANS Comrade Ekundina Segun Elvis informed the stranded motorists, fellow Nigerians and the Federal Government that today’s blockade of the expressway is just one of the many ways they plan to frustrate fellow Nigerians till the students are sent back to school.
They insist that if the Federal Government refuses to accede to the demands of ASUU they will take further drastic measures.
