Description: Established in 2021 by the University of Otago with generous support from Lumino the Dentists to recognise all-round excellence in final year students in the Bachelor of Oral Health programme.

Eligibility:

  • a student about to commence the final year of the Bachelor of Oral Health Programme.

The following factors shall be considered in selecting the scholarship recipient (based on performance in the first two years of the Bachelor of Oral Health Programme):

  • academic ability – a B+ average in the first and second years of study;
  • clinical ability – excellent clinical skills, patient rapport and communication;
  • other – may include leadership skills, contribution to the community, contribution to the profession etc.
