Breaking: Tinubu Speaks On Withdrawing From 2023 Presidential Race
The All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu on Sunday denied withdrawing from the 2023 presidential election.
The former Governor of Lagos State in a short video of himself posted on a treadmill debunked rumours making the rounds that he is not contesting in the forthcoming race again.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) last Wednesday raised an embargo on the presidential campaign.
Recall that Tinubu travelled out of the country a few days before the commencement of the 2023 presidential campaign.
There are speculations that Tinubu travelled out of Nigeria for medical reasons, speculation which has been denied by his loyalists.
A loyalist of the APC presidential candidate had claimed that Tinubu travelled out of the country to rest ahead of the camp season.
Tinubu in the video stated that some people have claimed that he has died, while others said he has withdrawn from the presidential race.
The National leader of the ruling party said he has not withdrawn his presidential ambition.
He further stated that he is strong and healthy, adding that he is ready to see Nigerians from the first day if he emerges as President.
Tinubu wrote alongside the video, “Many have said I have died; others claim I have withdrawn from the presidential campaign.
“Well… Nope.
“This is the reality: I am strong, I am healthy and I am READY to serve Nigerians from Day One.”
