Toolz: “Why I Almost Quit My Career”
Popular Nigerian Radio Personality, Tolulope Oniru, known as Toolz has revealed that she almost quit her career as s result of body shaming.
The mother of two declined an offer to undergo surgery because she was concerned about how she would turn out.
The plus-sized men and women were celebrated by Toolz via her Instagram page:
“Its a day to celebrate plus-sized men and women – its also a day to combat the issue of body shaming on social media platforms.”
The Host via her social media page has admitted that she once reached a point where she was considering changing careers as a result of body-shaming, “One of these days I’ll tell you about how body shaming had me rethinking my whole career. “ She said.
The 39-year-old continued by giving God the glory for keeping her from giving up on her career as a result of the body shamers.
“Thank God I didn’t give up!!” Toolz said
She advised those who felt differently about their bodies to develop more confidence in them in the caption for the photo.
“Confidence is Key, Knowledge is Power, and Support is Everything! Join National Curves Day, Inc. in advocating for self-love, inclusion, and diversity through Embrace. Encourage. Empower. ” She said.
