Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has seemingly settled an ongoing rift with the MD of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote.
CityNews Nigeria reports taht Bello and Dangote have been at loggerheads recently after the former sealed the company’s Obajana Cement Factory over alleged Tax Evasion and Fraud.
Bello claimed that Dangote did not own Obajana Cement adding that the factory was owned by the state. He disclosed in a Press conference last week that the transfer of the cement factory’s ownership to Dangote was done without the approval of the state house of Assembly.
Several people had also protested against the cement company over its alleged poor business practices in the state. However, in a private meeting presided over by the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adamu Abdullahi and President Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Gambari, Dangote and Bello reconciled and shook hands putting the entire feud to rest.
