Nollywood:Popular Actress, Nneoma Ukpabi Suspended Over Alleged Fraud
The President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, has announced the suspension of Nollywood actress, Nneoma Ukpabi.
CityNews reports that Ukpabi, who is the AGN Chairman in Imo state, was suspended on the grounds of alleged fraud and assault.
This is coming after a young lady called out Ukpabi for reportedly collecting N400,000 from her to get registered as an actor.
The lady also alleged that the actress subjected her to all kinds of torture, maltreatment and assault.
Reacting to the allegations, Rollas announced the suspension of Ukpabi while investigation into the allegations commences.
In his words: “Few hours ago I got this report about how this lady was treated I followed the matter up through the Delta state chairman to draw a conclusion that the boys were complicit with Nneoma on this matter. No new member or any human deserve to be treated in this manner. We have just suspended Nneoma Ukpabi indefinitely until she and her accomplices are brought to book and she clears herself before the National Disciplinary committee.”
