Breaking! Tinubu Storms Ondo …Holds Crucial Meeting With Afenifere,Fasoranti ….

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu is set to convince the leadership of the Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere on why he should have their support for the 2023 election.

Naija News reports Tinubu will meet the group’s leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, and other Afenifere leaders on Sunday (today) in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

The Director, Media & Publicity, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga confirmed to this online medium in a statement on Saturday that Tinubu will present his recently launched 80-page action plan to the Yoruba leaders during the visit.

He added that Tinubu will also be in Lagos on Tuesday to discuss economic plans and strategies with the chambers of commerce in the South West.

The statement reads: “The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress will on Sunday be in Akure, Ondo State to pay a courtesy visit to Pa Reuben Fasoranti and the leadership of Afenifere, the Yoruba cultural and political organisation.

“During the visit, he will also present his Action Plan on how he intends to tackle the economic and other problems the country is grappling with.

“The APC torch bearer will similarly speak on his plans today before the Yoruba group, led by Pa Reuben Fasoranti.

“He will on Tuesday in Lagos discuss with the chambers of commerce in the South West on how he intends to improve the economy of Nigeria, to achieve a double-digit growth.”

Why We Are Supporting Obi

Yoruba socio-political organization, Afenifere has said that the presidency is not the personal property of the Yorubas.

Afenifere stated this last week while responding to allegations concerning its support for Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi instead of his All Progressives Congress (APC) counterpart, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Afenifere’s Secretary-General, Sola Ebiseni, during an interview on Arise TV said that the body’s decision to support Obi was based on the principle and the interest of the Nigerian State.

He explained that Nigeria comes first and they want a country where everyone has a sense of belonging.
