Tinubu: Bimbo Akintola cries out over threats for choosing APC presidential candidate
Actress, Bimbo Akintola has cried out over being bullied for throwing her weight behind All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu.
In a campaign video on her Instagram hours ago, Bimbo Akintola stressed that Nigerian online users should stop attacking celebrities for campaigning for their choice of presidential candidate for the upcoming general elections.
According to her, everyone is entitled to choose whomever they want and is also free to campaign as desired for the candidate.
Kemi Filani reports that this is coming after the movie star joined fellow celebrities like Saidi Balogun, Dayo Amusa, and Eniola Badmus to rally for Tinubu in Lagos on Sunday.
In a video posted on Instagram, Bimbo could be seen campaigning for the former Lagos State Governor.
Chairman of Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee, Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo who led the rally described it as a five-million-man walk in support of Tinubu and the second term bid of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Ahead of the rally, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) announced it was diverting traffic.
Highlighting the traffic points, LASTMA advised motorists from Eko Bridge inward Surulere to pass through the stadium bridge to Funsho Williams Avenue and connect to their destination through Ojuelegba to Lawanson-Itire Road.
Others who joined the rally include Fuji musician Pasuma and actress Kudirat Soremi, known as Mama No Network.
