Nigerians have reacted to the video of France President, Emmanuel Macron being slapped again during a public walkout.

According to the video making rounds on social media, Macron was slapped in the face by a woman. reports revealed that the incident happened on Sunday, 20th November 2022. Security details quickly pulled the woman away while another held on to Macron.

It is recalled that the President has suffered the same fate in June 2021 after he was slapped by a man identified as 28-year-old Damien Tarel. Revealing his motive behind the slap, Tarel said he thought about throwing an egg or a cream tart at Macron but added the slap was not premeditated.

Tarel was sentenced to prison for eighteen months, however, fourteen was suspended as he only served four.

Netizens have reacted with humour to the video of France President, Emmanuel Macron being slapped. While many are of the opinion that Nigerian president Muhamadu Buhari and the presidential flag bearer of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu better known as Emi Lokan deserve the slap, others condemned the action by the woman.
