2023: Yahaya Bello Tells Seyi Tinubu’s Why He Hasn’t Joined APC Campaign
The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has come out to give reasons why he is yet to actively join the presidential campaign of of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
CityNews Nigeria reports that the governor told the son of the APC flag bearer, Seyi Tinubu, the reason he is yet to actively join the party’s campaign despite being appointed as the Youth Coordinator of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
The governor told Seyi Tinubu, who paid him a visit in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital on Thursday, that he has since the flag off of Tinubu’s presidential campaign being working underground for Tinubu.
Bello, who was also a presidential aspirant of the APC, explained that even though people think he is quiet about campaigning for Tinubu, the case is not true because he is really working underground for him.
The governor during his meeting with Seyi Tinubu, who led the PCC National Youth Mobilisation Directorate to the Lord Lugard House in Lokoja to mobilise supports for his father, noted that he might not be following the APC flag bearer up and down, but what he is doing to campaign for him is beyond what the eyes can see.
Bello, who described himself as “the first born of Asiwaju,” said Seyi Tinubu is his “junior brother.”
He stated that “I am with Asiwaju (Tinubu). I am doing some underground work for the success of Asiwaju as President and for the APC, that is why I have not been following the campaign train up and down. I may not be following Asiwaju up and down, but what I’m doing is far above what the eye can see.
“Come 2023, we will record a landslide victory.”
Seyi Tinubu, who appreciated the governor for the warm acceptance and reception and his deputy Edward Onoja, for joining them in Lagos to show his support during the walk, was reported to have reached out to flood victims.
