The presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 election, Peter Obi on Tuesday vowed to dismantle the political structure ‘that has impoverished Nigerians’.
CITYNEWS NIGERIA reports that Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, said this when he met with university students in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.
According to him, the two major political parties in Nigeria, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), operate a “structure of criminality”.
“The structure they have is a structure of criminality. We must dismantle it,” Obi said.
Also, the Labour Party candidate declared that Aso Rock is not a retirement home.
Obi noted that Nigeria’s seat of power is for energetic and vibrant people who are able to tackle the huge problems facing the country.
He insisted that the presidency is for leaders who are ready and patriotic enough to do the job.
