Bwala stated that recent happenings in the political space as well as poor turnouts being recorded at campaign rallies show that the Labour Party candidate is far behind.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain also questioned the recent ANAP polls which said Peter Obi is the leading presidential candidate in the southeast.
CityNews Nigeria recalls Obi for the second time in four months led the other three frontline presidential candidates in a new poll conducted in December.
He led the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso according to the poll conducted by NOI Polls Limited and commissioned by Anap Foundation.
Anap Foundation President, Atedo Peterside disclosed this during a TV programme on Wednesday.
He disclosed that the former Governor of Anambra State had 23 percent, Tinubu scored 13, Atiku got 10 and Kwankwaso polled 2 percent in the fresh poll released in December.
However, Bwala disagreed with the outcome, as according to him, the polls are intentionally designed to give Obi an edge but the scanty and empty rally venues say otherwise.
The PDP campaign spokesperson specifically made reference to the presidential rallies by Obi in Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Port Harcourt as evidence that the fortunes of the LP candidate are dwindling.
He wrote on his Twitter page: “If you look at the rallies of Pitobi in Akwa Ibom, Cross River and today in Portharcourt, you will understand that he is not a contender amd that the polling is constantly being organized to cover the obvious. Scanty and empty, yet Peterside saying he leads in the SS. Joke”
