CityNews reports Atiku is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate for the 2023 election.
As earlier reported by this platform, the campaign office which is located in GRA Port Harcourt was sealed off in the early hours of Friday based on the order of the Rivers State Government.
Recall that Nyesom Wike had a few weeks ago signed Executive Order 22 which prohibits the citing of campaign offices by political parties in residential areas without government approval.
However, the Rivers State PDP presidential campaign council claimed that its media team had requested the state government authorization but has not received a response for several weeks.
The PDP PCC condemned the action of the state Government stating it rubs off on their fundamental right to free expression of interest.
Reacting to the development, Sani took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to condemn the action of the Rivers State government.
He wrote: “The report of the sealing of the Atiku Abubakar PDP Presidential campaign office in PH is unfortunate and wrong.”
The sealing is coming at a time Wike and other aggrieved Governors (G5) have vowed not to support the 2023 presidential ambition of the PDP candidate, Atiku due to internal crisis within the party.
