BREAKING: Atiku campaign releases video, dismisses ill-health reports

The Spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Management Committee, Senator Dino Melaye, on Monday dismissed reports that the former vice-president was rushed to London, United Kingdom (UK) for medical attention on Sunday.

CityNews Nigeria had ealier reported that Melaye posted a video of Atiku, in reaction to speculations that the septuagenarian is sick and was flown to the UK from Dubai for urgent treatment.

“Shameless liars. Saying Atiku was rushed to London yesterday. We are just about to board for London now. See, man, wey dem say no well oooo. Atiku is their nightmare,” Melaye captioned his video.

This newspaper understands that Atiku is due for a business meeting in London on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Since the electioneering season started, reports of poor health often emerge when either Atiku or Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), also a septuagenarian, make trips abroad.
