Breaking: Andrew Tate: Romania court extends police detention for influencer and brother

Influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan are to stay in custody until 27 February after a Romanian court extended their police detention.

The pair are being investigated over allegations of sexual assault and exploitation and a judge has ruled they will be kept in prison for a further 30 days while police build their case.

The reasons for this extension will be given in a written statement later.

Tate and his brother both deny the allegations against them.

News One reports that former kickboxer Andrew Tate has been arrested in Romania, alongside his brother Tristan, as part of an investigation into human trafficking.

This online news platform understands that controversial social media star Tate, who everyone sees on their feed without following, was in the news again this week for getting into a Twitter argument with Greta Thunberg.

Fresh off being embarrassed by the Swedish activist, much worse news was to come for the 36-year-old, as he was arrested in the country he currently resides in.

According to the Romanian outlet Libertatea, the pair’s house was raided on Thursday, December 29, 2022, in relation to the abduction of two girls.

News One Nigeria reports that the raid is said to have been taken out by DIICOT, the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism in Bucharest.

They focused their attention on two luxury cars at the residence, before the two brothers were seen being taken away by the Romanian press.

After being handed his arse to him by Thunberg on social media, Tate decided that he needed to reply, with what was a pretty weak attempt to hit back.

The American, with 76 wins and nine losses in his kickboxing career, essentially posted ‘I know you are but what am I,’ style retort.

In the reply, he was smoking, whilst wearing a robe, and was sitting with a takeaway pizza in front of him, which may have been part of his downfall.

On April 11, 2022, Romanian Police executed a search warrant at Andrew’s home in Bucharest following a report that a woman from the United States would be detained there. After questioning him, they let him go. Insisting on his innocence, Andrew has refuted all accusations. He referred to the entire incident as an example of troll swatting with false reports.

According to the most recent reports from several trustworthy social media outlets, Andrew Tate and his brother Tristian Tate were detained in Romania for suspected human trafficking. According to a report published on December 29 by the Romanian news outlet Libertatea, Romanian police had searched Andrew Tate’s Pipera residence in connection with the kidnapping of two girls. Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate have both been arrested. According to reports, the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism in Bucharest, or DIICOT, conducted the raid.
