Naira Scarcity: Lagosians React As Sanwo-Olu Provides Charges-Free POS

Reactions have trailed the decision of the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to cushion the effects of Naira scarcity by providing a charge free, Points of Sale (POS) for residents in the state.

CityNews Nigeria reports that the governor made the provision following nationwide tension caused by the debacle of currency exchange by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN),

The governor had in a statement on Wednesday directed 50 per cent fare reduction in all State-owned transportation services, effective Thursday.

The controversy over the CBN currency exchange deadline, Sanwo-Olu said, has had dislocation effect on Lagosians, limiting their access to cash for daily transactions and making their means of sustenance difficult.
