2023: Amaechi Shuns Bola Tinubu’s Campaign Rally In Rivers State

A former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi was conspicuously missing on Wednesday, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shetima, visited Port Harcourt in continuation of their campaign rally.

CityNews Nigeria learnt that the former governor of Lagos state and APC chieftains arrived at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium for the party’s presidential rally around 4pm.

Tinubu danced and waved to the cheering crowd before proceeding to the podium.

However, Amaechi was not seen at the event and this has raised concern, especially as he is the leader of APC in River State.

Since losing out on the party’s presidential ticket, Amaechi has been relatively silent on the political scene even in his home state.

There were speculations that the former Governor is not working for Tinubu in his bid to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari due to the party’s Muslim-Muslim ticket.
