Less than 10 days before the 2023 general election, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has collapsed its structure in support of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
CITYNEWS NIGERIA reports that the National Chairman of APM, Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, disclosed this at a news conference that was held on Thursday night in Abuja.
According to Dantalle, the party took the decision after its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on crucial national issues, particularly the upcoming presidential election.
With this development, the APM has discarded its presidential candidate, Chichi Ojei.
Ojei is the only female and one of the youngest contestants running for the office of president in the 2023 Nigeria general elections.
The 44-year-old Delta State indigene first emerged as a vice presidential candidate and later the presidential flag-bearer of the APM after Dantalle pulled out of the race.
