Moghalu reacts to brutal killing of Enugu Labour Party Senatorial candidate, Oyibo Chukwu

Former presidential candidate of the African Democratic Party, ADC, Kingsley Moghalu has reacted to the killing of Labour Party senatorial candidate for Enugu East Senatorial District, Mr. Oyibo Chukwu.

CityNews Nigeria had reported that Chukwu was reportedly murdered and set ablaze alongside other party members on Wednesday evening at Amaechi Awkunanaw, Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State.

It was gathered that unidentified persons were said to have accosted them while riding in a Sienna vehicle.

Reacting, Moghalu on Twitter, expressed sadness over the incident.

“What a tragedy! I’m deeply saddened. Oyibo was my classmate at the University of Nigeria (Enugu Campus) Law Faculty. Does politics have to be this desperate and violent?

“May his soul rest in peace. My sincere condolences to Oyibo Chukwu’s family,” he wrote on Twitter.
