The African Magic Viewers Choice Award released its nomination list on Sunday, April 16th, and Toyin Abraham has been nominated in 3 categories.
Toyin Abraham revealed that this is the first time a movie produced by her, will be nominated for the award.
Her movie, Ijakumo has been nominated in the Best Cinematography category, Best Picture Editor, and Best Sound Editor.
Sharing the good news on her Instagram page minutes ago, Toyin expressed gratitude to God as she noted how one’s hard work always pays off in the end.
“This is the first time a movie produced by me, my movie, will be nominated for the AMVCA award and we got 3 nominations!? I just want to say that whatever you do just keep working hard. It will surely pay off”.
This big win for the movie star is coming two years after she was ignored despite being the highest-grossing actress at that time.
Toyin Abraham produced her movie, The Ghost and The Tout Too in 2021 which did so well at the box movie and became the highest-grossing movie.
Unfortunately, the movie didn’t make it to the 2021 AMVCA edition, which left many baffled.
