Ighalo misses penalty as Al Hilal lift Saudi Cup

Al Hilal striker, Odion Ighalo, won his second major trophy with the Saudi Arabian side, as they defeated Al Wehda 7-6 on penalties to win the Saudi Cup.

Both teams battled to a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes of thrilling football action.

Abdoul Karim Yoda gave the Al Wehda the lead 10 minutes before the break.

Al Hilal equalised through Ali Al Bulahyi deep into stoppage time.

The scoreline remain 1-1 after 120 minutes and penalty was needed to decide the winner.

Ighalo missed Al Hilal’s second penalty but it counted for nothing as Ramon Diaz’s side prevailed at the end of the day.

The 33-year-old won the Saudi Arabia Professional Football League title in his first season with the Blue Waves.
