A former Kaduna Central lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, has shared his prison photos to mark Nigeria’s democracy day.
In a Twitter post today, June 12, the anniversary of Nigeria’s Democracy, Sani recalled how he was arrested for managing an unlawful society, and then again, in a separate charge — treason.
Sharing the images, and stating the prison he was in both, the ex-lawmaker wrote;
“June 12 anniversary; While I was serving a life sentence for the charges of ‘managing an unlawful society” (The Campaign for Democracy) and treason; On the left was in J-ward, Aba Prison, Abia State. On the right was in block 2 Cell, Kiri Kiri Prison Lagos.”
