Sowore Reacts Over Sanwo-Olu’s Alleged Plot To Bury 103 #EndSars Protesters

The African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Omoyele Sowore, has expressed anger over the recent revelation about the #EndSars protesters massacred at #Lekki Tollgate on October 20, 2020.

According to Peoples Gazette, the Lagos governor has allegedly approved the mass burial of at least 103 protesters who were ‘massacred’ by joint forces of the Nigerian Army and the police during the October 20, 2020 protest against police brutality tagged #EndSARS at the Lekki toll gate.

According to a letter reportedly seen by the publication and dated July 19 by the public procurement agency, the state government engaged the service of Messrs Tos Funeral Ltd, a private firm, for the mass burial.

It stated that the state government engaged the firm at the cost of N61,285,000 to bury 103 bodies which were identified to be victims of the killings.

Speaking to Peoples Gazette on the report, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Sanwo-Olu, Gboyega Akosile said the government will release its response soon.

Reacting to this, Sowore, in a post via Twitter, recalled how the immediate-past president, Muhammadu Buhari, denied killing #EndSars proters in October 2020.

According to him, the heinous crimes should not go unpunished.

He wrote: “The govt of Muhammadu Buhari @MBuhari denied killing #EndSARS protesters in October of 2020, we’ve always maintained that they massacred protesters and hid their bodies across Lagos state.

“Here is a legit document of Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu @jidesanwoolu of Lagos contracted a funeral company -TOS Funerals Ltd- to bury Endsars “victims” in mass graves. These heinous crimes will not go unpunished”
