Senator Adams Oshiomhole, legislator representing Edo North Senatorial District has stated that President Bola Tinubu did not vow to tackle the numerous challenges facing the nation overnight.
The former governor of Edo State, who spoke on Sunday during an interview with Channels Television, affirmed that the President is not a wizard.
As per him, the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, is still on track with its campaign commitments, asserting that there was never a period it pledged a 24-hour solution to Nigeria’s problems.
The legislator expressed confidence that the Tinubu administration would deliver on its promises, emphasizing that the President had through his recent policies, demonstrated commitment to that effect.
He said, “They know they were not electing a magician. And nobody promised a magical solution. Don’t bother giving me an example. I know what we (APC) promised more than you.
“Whatever is reported, we are the source. We did not promise anyone a 24-hour solution and we did not promise an overnight solution. Can you show me any document where we said ‘in 24 hours, this will be done?’”
