The Omega Power Ministry (OPM) has dismissed reports alleging that its founder Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere impregnated a 22-year-old woman.
It would be recalled that a woman who identified herself as Loveth alleged that the apostle had sexual relations with her, resulting in pregnancy.
She claimed the incident happened sometime in March and April 2019 when she was 18 years old and engaged to be married to someone.
According to Loveth, the OPM founder refused to use protection she got him with the money he gave her.
She also claimed he instructed her to pin the pregnancy on the person she was to marry.
But the church described the allegations as blackmail.
One of the officials, who did not want her name mentioned, told BBC Pidgin that a young man, who did not get financial assistance which he sought it from Chinyere, connived with Loveth to make the allegations.
“Because he wants to tarnish the man’s image, he went as far as turning himself to blogger (to circulate false claims),” the official said in a report published on Wednesday.
On the allegation that Loveth lived in Chinyere’s house in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, the official said it was a lie.
Chinyere had yet to personally respond to the matter as of press time.
