Atanda Modupe Deborah, a student of the nursing department in Stream A of the Faculty of Basic Medical Science at Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), who was reported missing in early September, has been found dead.
It was gathered that the grim discovery was made today in Oye Ekiti, sending shockwaves throughout the university community and beyond.
According to report, Deborah, who was last seen on the 4th of September, 2023, in front of the pharmacy twin hall within the FUOYE campus, had gone out to study, but her disappearance had left her family and friends in a state of anxiety and concern.
Tragically, her lifeless body was found today, September 06, bearing severe injuries to her head, and even more disturbingly, her eyes were allegedly plucked out, painting a chilling picture of the circumstances surrounding her death.
The tragic death of the victim was also confirmed in a statement released by the student union body of the school.
