Breaking: DSS Releases Former Shi’ites Spokesperson, Musa
The Department of State Services (DSS) has released the former spokesperson of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), also known as Shi’ites, Ibrahim Musa.
Musa’s family in a statement released by Abdullahi Usman revealed that DSS whisked Musa away at the Aminu Kano International Airport in the early hours of Wednesday, while on his way to Saudi Arabia to perform the lesser Hajj.
The statement reads, “The Almizan Editor was released on Thursday and his travel documents have been returned to him.
“He is presently fine and in a good state of health as he reunites with his family, friends and well-wishers.
“We wish to express our profound gratitude to all and sundry for their prayers and concern over his arrest and detention by the DSS. We say a big thank you to all, God bless you.”
The Editor Nigeria recalls that Musa was arrested by secret police on Thursday.
A source, who spoke with SaharaReporters on the development, said, “His arrest by the secret police coincides with his birthday.
“Ibrahim Musa was arrested today by the Tinubu regime via the Nigerian secret police (DSS) on his way to Medina, Saudi Arabia, to visit the Messenger of God (sa) on his birthday #Maulud.
“We call on the tyrannical Tinubu regime to immediately release the activist. This corrupt, brutal and inhuman regime has plundered millions of people into the extreme poverty bracket in just over 100 days in power.”
