1. The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Ibrahim Abdullahi has claimed that the Chicago State University, CSU, record indicated that President Bola Tinubu presented conflicting documents to the Independent National Electoral Commission. Abdullahi hinted that the relevant documents would be presented before the Supreme Court.

2. The Police, Tuesday night, announced it had taken into custody controversial singer, Azeez Fashola, alias Naira Marley, in connection with the controversial death of his former record label signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, alias Mohbad. The Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, said this in a tweet.

3. Angry youths on Tuesday razed facilities at the Isolo Local Council Development Area office building in Okota, Lagos. This followed the death of two yet-to-be-identified persons who were said to have died after a scuffle involving officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority and a driver in the Ago Palace area of Isolo, Lagos.

4. The pastor of a branch of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre located at Mission Ward North Bank in Makurdi, Benue State capital, Pastor Ezekiel Ahmed, died on Tuesday when the church building collapsed on him and some worshippers. It was gathered that four other persons who were in the church with the pastor at the time of the incident were injured.

5. The Senate, on Tuesday, amended its rule to restrict first-time senators from vying for the position of the Senate President and Deputy Senate president. The amendment of 3 Section 2 and Sub-section 1, 2 and 3 followed a motion moved by the Senate leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, titled, “Amendment of the Standing Orders of the Senate pursuant to Order 109 of the Senate Standing Orders, 2022.”

6. The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has advised the residents to be wary of boarding unpainted taxis, otherwise known as ‘kabu-kabu,’ to avoid becoming victims of armed robbers, also known as ‘One Chance’. The Commissioner of Police in the FCT, CP Haruna Garba gave the warning at a news briefing on Tuesday.

7. Chicago State University’s (CSU’s) Registrar, Caleb Westberg, yesterday, deposed that the same Bola Ahmed Tinubu that attended Southwest College is the same person who attended and graduated from the institution in 1979. He further stated that Tinubu, a male student, is the President of Nigeria.

8. The Federal Government yesterday called on governors of the 19 states with confirmed cases of diphtheria to reintroduce face mask-wearing at public gatherings. It said the advice was necessary because the confirmed cases had soared to 8,406. The cases were recorded in 114 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in 18 of 36 states and Abuja.

9. The Senate Committee on Gas, led by Senator Jarigbe Jarigbe has urged President Bola Tinubu to expeditiously present a 2023 Supplementary Budget to the National Assembly to kick-start his Compressed Natural Gas project. This request comes barely 48 hours after Tinubu announced measures to cushion the pains of fuel subsidy removal on Nigerians.

10. No fewer than 22 passengers drowned on Monday in a boat accident in Niger State. The victims were said to be going from Kasabu village in Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State to Yauri in Kebbi State, on Monday morning when the boat capsized due to a downpour accompanied by heavy wind.
