BREAKING: President Tinubu Pulls FCTA Out of TSA, Approves Civil Service Commission
President Bola Tinubu has approved the withdrawal of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) from the Treasury Single Account (TSA) and the creation of the FCT Civil Service Commission.
CITYNEWS NIGERIA reports that the two decisions were announced by the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, at a news conference in Abuja on Friday.
He revealed that the President also approved the establishment of the Woman Affairs secretariat, which would be commissioned next week.
The withdrawal of the FCTA from the TSA would allow the territory, which is currently led by Minister Nyesom Wike, to utilise its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) for development.
The creation of the FCT Civil Service Commission will also give Wike more control over civil servants’ appointment, promotion, and discipline in the FCTA.
