Euro 2024: What Cristiano Ronaldo said after scoring his 40th goal of 2023 as Portugal beat Bosnia 5-0
Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted to Portugal’s 5-0 win over Bosnia & Herzegovina in the Euro 2024 qualifiers on Monday.
The 38-year-old scored twice as they thrashed their opponents 5-0 despite the game not being important to them.
He scored his 40th goal of 2023 in the game.
Portugal has already qualified for the tournament in Germany next summer with a win over Slovakia last Friday.
The Al Nassr striker scored his 126th and 127th goals for his national team to further extend his record.
Other scorers on the night were Bruno Fernandes, Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix.
“Another victory and a good game from the whole team,” he wrote on social media. “First place in the group guaranteed from Galician.”
