Must I Become Perpetual Slave Over Tinubu’s £500? – Dele Momodu To APC
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Dele Momodu, has slammed the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) over claims of not paying back the 500 pounds President Bola Tinubu gave him during his exile days.
CityNews Nigeria reports that the former presidential aspirant hit out at the APC while reacting to the various versions of his interview, where he had allegedly vowed to always support Tinubu.
Clarifying his statement, Momodu, in a post via X, formerly known as Twitter, said the APC are very obsessed with the interview he granted about Tinubu supporting him with 500 pounds in London.
The Ovation publisher questioned the ruling party if such favour would amount to perpetual slavery for Tinubu, adding that he paid back the money in a thousand folds.
He said, “The APC goons will never get tired of circulating their own version of the interview I granted @chudeity a few years ago.
“They are so obsessed with the part I said Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu gave me 500 pounds in London during our exile years as if that means I must become a perpetual slave because of that well-appreciated support.
“Truth is, I repaid that favour a thousand fold, in ways I’m not willing to divulge, but the commonest being free and regular publicity on Ovation platforms running into thousands of dollars. It is called ‘adding value…’
“Nowhere did I say I will give unconditional support to Tinubu.”
